A new beginning to my newest novel, Troubled Sleep:

One

I’ve been having a lot of nightmares recently. Then last night I dreamed about my ex-wife, I was living in an apartment in Kent, and it was like a party, but I was happy and I knew it was a dream and I told a random woman “I know this is a dream!”. It was a nice change of pace.

I can’t say that this story really happened the way that I describe it here. I don’t know much of anything. I don’t think any of it is real. I’m not real, just a memory, a collection of memories, floating in space…
